MUA Undress Me Too Palette - Review

I’ve been wanting to buy the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette for over a year now, but for some reason I just never completed the transaction, I always held out. What’s that got to do with MUA’s Undress Me Too palette, you ask? Well... I shall tell you. It’s because in some ways its a complete dupe and for a fraction of the price. The UD Naked 2 Palette retails for £36 whereas the MUA Undress Me Too is a fraction of the price at a mere £4!

I’ll start with packaging. This is one of MUA’s newer releases so it’s packaged in the white plastic casing rather than black like the previous Undress Me palette, which in my opinion makes it far more appealing and superior, it also allows it to look slightly more expensive than it really is.

There are 12 shades in this palette ranging from neutrals to cool greys to stunning gold metallics. One of the features that make this palette different from previous ones that have come out from MUA is the fact that for the first time the shades have names. Working our way on the top row from left to the right we have; Naked, Devotion, Shy, Fiery, Lavish, and Dreamy on the bottom row, again from left to right we have; Tranquil, Exposed, Reveal, Wink, Obsessed, and Corrupt (Awesome names right?) Another really cool feature of the palette is the ‘Mini master class’ at the back of the palette with suggestions on looks you could achieve with the palette.

The quality of the shades are quite amazing too. They’re extremely creamy and pigmented with maybe the exception of Naked and Lavish (the only two matt shades) but then again even higher-end brands occasionally fall short when it comes to the formulation of matt shades, so I definitely won’t hold it against MUA. However if used in conjunction with a primer they do end up reaching their full potential and hold up quite easily up-to 8 hours of wear!

Overall I really love this palette and would recommend it to anyone looking for neutrals on the cooler end of the spectrum. Its not a ‘perfect’ dupe for the UD Naked 2 in terms of pigmentation or colour payoff but the actual colour similarity is quite phenomenal and for someone looking for a budget friendly alternative it’s the best on the market.

The MUA Undress Me Too palette is now available in Superdrug and MUA online.
