The second wave of snow has finally melted and though it might be nippy outside the sun is out and I'm going to celebrate that.
Today I've got a nice short list of my favourite spring lip colours that I whip out this time of the year.
1. Revlon Kissable Balm Stain in 040 Rendezvous layered with 025 Sweetheart. You'd think these two colours wouldn't work together, but somehow they complement each other like a treat. The vivid pink of the Sweetheart does a perfect job of muting down the sharp orange tone of Rendezvous giving it a lovely coral finish.
2. My second choice would be the Maybelline Super Stay 10hr Tint Gloss in Lasting Pink. This stain has subtle undertones of red, so when applied it leaves the lips with a beautiful tint of reddish pink as though the person has just just polished off a bowl of spring time berries.
3. Another Pink shade, this one from MaxFactor, this lipstick is in 827 Bewitching Coral. But don't let the name deceive you. This is very much a solid pink colour. It's perfect as a statement lip colour.
4. Collection 2000 Moisturising Cream Puff in Fairy Cake is an amazing spring lip colour. It's baby pink hue and unique velvety matt finish is like no other in the drugstore. It also has a very sweet candy scent to it that's addictive.
5. Finally just to keep things interesting I've thrown in a Lipbalm/Lipgloss hybrid from Clinique in 10 Grapefruit. This is perfect for the more colder days of spring as it provides moisture and hydration so as to prevent chapped lips but with a bit of tint.
So there you have it, my spring time top picks for lips! Wow that's a mouthful.
